Secure, audited payments: All booking payments and payouts are processed via Stripe, giving you transparent, bank-standard transaction records and reliable transfers to your business account.
Operational support: Priority onboarding for fleets, manual checks where required and a dedicated account manager during the pilot.
Rigorous traveller checks: Travellers must complete identity verification and driving-license checks before confirming a booking. We use Stripe Identity for document + selfie verification and integrate DVLA vehicle/driver checks where needed.
24/7 assistance: Our support team helps with booking issues, emergency advice and dispute mediation.
We do not provide insurance for company fleets, you must maintain your own commercial fleet cover, as required by UK law. We help by providing robust verification, payments and dispute support so you can operate confidently.

XCamper does not currently sell or include insurance. Private owners must ensure they have a valid self-drive hire camper van policy that permits short-term rentals. We are actively building a UK insurance partnership — see our Roadmap below.

We know integrated insurance is a critical trust point for owners. We’re working carefully at pace to partner with UK insurers to deliver a practical, affordable product that suits private owners and fits platform bookings. We will not launch until we’re confident the terms are fair and sustainable.
Phase 1 — Research & partner selection (NOW)
We’ve scoped UK specialist insurers and brokers and begun initial talks. Our priority is a partner experienced in campervan/motorhome cover and P2P rentals.
Phase 2 — Pilot (select owners)
A controlled pilot with a small group of private owners to test cover options, claims flow and pricing. The pilot will be UK-only.
Phase 3 — Gradual roll-out
After a successful pilot we’ll offer an opt-in insurance product embedded into the booking flow.

We recommend comparing quotes and ensuring the policy explicitly covers peer-to-peer rentals / hirings (some personal motor home policies exclude hire-use).
